I reserved my car on 8/1/2007 and today 2/29/2008; I emailed Smart about my reservation and when they thought I was going to get my car and this was there response:
Dear smart Enthusiast
Your reservation was found and is still active in our reservation system. At this time you must continue to wait over the next upcoming weeks to few months to be invited for the second phase of the reservation program. In the second phase, the configuration program, you may change and or confirm any original options as well as adding any factory installed options to your smart fortwo vehicle.
Once your vehicle has been manufactured, your reservation details will be forwarded to your local dealership. Once your local dealer receives your information, he or she will contact you in regards to your expected delivery date.
