Control Your Excitement

Bring on the Orphans!! Registered for my smart Pure 4/7/08. DDE is Sept-Nov 2009. Hope to see more options available for the next years model when I configure.

Seems like the DDE is more of a "tool" than we bargained for! As if there was a glimmer of hope for early delivery. I guess patience is a virtue, but geez!

Excitement ruined.

I ordered my passion Jan 23. Dealers in Tulsa told me it would be 10 to 11 months before I got it. Now with the date estimator on smartusa it says I won't get it until Oct. 2009. Going from 10 months to 18 months has really depressed me . I was looking forward to getting my smart car this fall. I will keep my fingers crossed that this date is wrong, and deliveries will speed up and I will get it sooner.

Has anyone else noticed that if you use the DDE - you get a different date almost every day? It has given me anywhere from 3/30/08 to 8/01/08 depending on what day I ask. Is it really a tool that is of any use?

The key word to remember here is "Estimator" as in "Guesstimator" Your dealer is the one who is going to sell you a car. Stay close to them.

I'd rather have my full term conceived baby than a red headed step-orpahn.
