I just wanted to let everybody in this area (Dallas) know that I ordered my smart in June of last year and bought a orphan in August. Well I just received my email and they want me to configure. If anyone would like to order one like they want and get it sooner let me know. I don't want anything for it just to help someone get their's a little faster. My email address is Charlene.Johnson@Utsouthwestern.edu. My delivery date was April -May so it shouldn't be too long!!

The only way you can do this is to buy it outright and sell it to whoever is interested. I don't think smart will allow you to transfer your reservation to another individual. The one you ordered will probably end up as an orphan.

I called PPD last week and no VIN yet so guess it hasn't been shipped. Probably sitting somewhere waiting for a ship...

All I got to say is you people up in Dallas should really find some friends down here in Round Rock area and use their home address. I did that for jedi, and he got his car 2 weeks faster then I got mine. Not sure why Round Rock is getting them faster. Might be due to they are ONLY a Smart dealer and not attached to the Mercedes group. I ordered mine Feb 2, 08 and picked mine up Jan 14, 09. Jedi was like Feb 9 and picked up around Jan 21, 09. Good luck anyhow. But if you have not gotten a configuration email, you should look into the Round Rock dealer thing. Hehe.

I talked to Amber at PPM Dallas yesterday and my car should be here within the month!! I have the VIN - which means that it EXISTS!! Don't think it'll be here for the St. Paddy's Day parade, but for any other events, YES!!
