DDE arrival for 09 model

Oh a friend of mine wanted to take our bikes down there today to check them out and I really wanted him to drive one because he is very good with cars and he knows about that kind if transmission. Let me tell you he made that car run! That little car went like hell thru the gears and he didn't skip a beat with it. He was impressed and I have to tell you so was I. We took out a silver passion with the comfort pkg and it was loaded like the one I am getting. I ordered a whit with silver. Anyone who says it a dog tranny doesn't know how to run the gears. No it isn't a race car but it is just perfect for this time in my life. Thanks and I will keep you posted. Have a great weekend!!

You're not really buying a year old car, the car you buy will be built just a few months before you take delivery. I'm a 1302, reserved on July 26, 2007, still waiting to configure. My DDE says March-May 2009. As I see these posts of people who reserve 7 months AFTER me, already configuring and complaining about the wait and the model, I'll just say what everyone tells me to say: bend over and take it and do so with a smile, we're all on this long long list out of our own choices. We choose where we live, we choose to either stay on the list or go the orphan route, we choose to accept the conditions that this company places on our ability to put down good money on their product. Yes, it's way, way different than any other car buying experience we've had, and yes it's way, way different than the company website and the rhetoric at the road show was giving us. The company website and email response is dismally slow and unresponsive, calls regarding new information from the customer service centers are mostly disappointing. But, we either want the car badly enough to wait for it or we do not. My 2 cents.

No...it's a year old car, and I am in that situation too, right on the fence, could fall either way. When I called to ask if my delivery could be pushed out further into 09 to guarantee an 09 model, the answer was no.
