Well yesterday my DDE moved back to 8/5/08 to 11/1/08/.

I'm losing patience at this point - I stopped and looked at a loaded '07 Mercedes C230 sport with a 6 speed last night on the way home... I don't want to start wandering elsewhere, so I hope something happens soon - at least my DDE moving back or such.

what's your drop-dead date before you give up and get something else?

as you may know from reading this thread, presently you're looking at approx an early sept delivery to the dealer. less than two months away. you can make it.

trust me, the last 60 days are the absolute hardest to deal with. but in a week or two you should be able to get a confirmed ETA and VIN# from the dealer and never use the DDE again.

Ugh, my DDE has moved back twice now. My initial DDE was 06/25/08, and then it got pushed.

I don't really have a drop dead date - this is going to be a second car for me and essentially a toy. That being said, I am a horribly impatient person, and bought this to teach myself patience

I'm sure this will pass - it is just a wave of horrid frustration.

FINALLY the DDE gave me a date (I'm so excited )...

Estimated ETA Date:

September 2009 to November 2009

For res # 1612.

An orphan and a formal recognition from the DDE that I exist, both in one week. Yippee

My DDE has been moving out one day at a time for the last week! It has been staying at 11 days from the current day.

Any ideas?

Mine's been doing the same thing: 11 days from the start of the window for the past 9 days (it didn't change over the weekend, BUT, come Monday...it was set backward 3 days..so same thing). I keep telling myself it means I'm on the cusp of BIG things, but, it's depressing nonetheless.

in my experience and observation of others, when it starts moving a day here a day there and the present day begins to get close to the first date in the DDE or thereabouts - you're nearly home.

i would start getting well-acquainted with your local smart dealer and begin the process of having them look you up in the system (j-walk). do this in person - you may even have to talk to the GM or brand manager. success accomplishing this task over the phone is undetermined.

you should be close to C status at this point and may even have a VIN# assigned. if that is the case, then the system will also show an ETA and you can stop watching the DDE everyday and frustrating yourself.

for many, delivery at the dealer has been consistently right around 30 days from the first date in the DDE and a match within a day or two from the ETA listed on the R11 screen in J-Walk.
