Dropped from DDE

I reserved in April #1565 later got a DDE of Oct to Dec 09. I only check it about once a week or so, I checked it today and it says it can't estimate my DDE. Has this happened to others? Anyone know what it means? Just kind of shocked me. I live in the South Carolina Low Country if that means anything.

well keep your fingers crossed! i just checked the DDE and mine came up, unchanged since the last check. also, it could have been 'down' just to update the system.

but a couple months ago i got a similar message and the next day my DDE changed from "Sept-Nov 2009" to what it is now "Aug-Oct 2009".

maybe you're getting 'moved up' in line?

btw, i'm a "1536", reserved on March 16 2008

yes, you just dropped out of the 18 month window. any estimated deliveries in excess of 18 months is dropped out of the dde estimator.

I noticed you ordered yours March 16, 08 and your dde is same as mine. I ordered mine Jan 26, 08. Can't figure out why mine is the same DDE when I ordered mine sooner. Who knows. I will be getting mine in Tulsa, OK. Haven't heard a word.

it depends on dealer location. in ny, you can get a smart in 6-8 months and in some places it will take 2 years. im in the midwest so im looking at 22 months minimum.

Mine was Feb to April 2009 for a long time then it went to Jan to March 2009. Now it changed again April to June 2009

If it keeps going moving out, the VW Jetta Sport Wagon TDI will be out soon.

hey "happy".....i'm sure it won't be 22 months for you. i'm in Indy, reserved 3/16/08 and my original DDE was Sept-Nov 2009, which would be 19-21 months out. but it 'updated' in May i think to Aug-Oct 2009 which now would only be 18-20 months total. guess i'm right on the edge.

i'm considering 'reserving' another smart next month. just curious as to what's available (electric? hybrid? colors?) when i'm asked to 'configure' THAT one. i may be trading.......

in any event "happy2cruise", hang in there. the few months for me has passed pretty quickly.......
