Yesterday I Went down to the Dealer in Chandler AZ to to take a test drive. Just trying to figure out if I should wait the year the estimator is showing .... Took a test drive and loved it. Foolishly I asekd if they and any orphans available. Yes they had a blue one. It is now in my garage. Exact configuration I had ordered but blue. Which I was seriously thinking of changing to blue anyway....

Lessons Learned ->
Check in hand by live person trumphs list. They were working their way down the orphan list and had many refusals.

Congrats, did you stop and buy a lottery ticket on the way home? Your luck may have still been turned all the up...

It is so exciting when something just falls in your lap like that. Baseball tickets, free concert tickets, free appetizers etc. You are probably still pinching yourself this morning.

What color is the tridion? Did they put a bunch of dealer add on to raise their profit margin? If I was someone on an orphan list I think it might behoove me to stop by the dealership every 10 days to two weeks, for some face time. Location location location....

I ordered last April and can expect to get delivery
mid March-mid June, but since I have not recvd a 30 day notice from SmartUSA nor my local dealer I'm thinking it will be closer to June. I'm in no hurry, I'm hoping the longer I wait, the better the chance that Smart will work out ALL the bugs that have surfaced in the 451 before mine is produced. ;)

I was born in Chandler AZ back in the 50's when it was a true dust bowl with real tumbleweeds bigger that the Smart car blowing around. Wish I would have bought a 50 acre plot back then!!!!

Its blue with black tridion and a tan interior. Unfortuantely my wife has assimilated it allready . If I am going to get to drive it much I guess it's going to have to be the next one. As I type this she on the road with it. I Might see it tonight. The good news is that she can't put that much in to the car. Hopefully she's picked up her sister ....

Seems we have to plan in extra time thought to talk about the car whever we stop.

The yes they did tin the windows but if you ever been here in summer that is NOT a bad thing. We are already running the AC. And an LOWJack system which again all things being equal I did not feel put on about. We do have a hugh car theft problem here though more typically it is SUV's and vans for smugiling and other cars for parts. Th former seems unlikely but the later ....
