I finally got the email to configure today! #1247. It has been "exactly" 8 months to the day from registration to configure. I ordered a Black Passion, Silver Tridion, leather, and all the options.....4 wheel, 4 piston disk brake kit, turbo diesel v6......just kidding! smart usa says they expect to deliver the second half of 2008. I'm thinking August or Sept. delivery! Now I'll have something to hang my personal plates on! Don't give up hope config wantabes, your email could be next on the "MASTER LIST".

1244, that's right reserved at the end of May and configured Feb. 1, Lord teach me patience.

I ordered a White Passion, with Black Tridion and all the extras. Wanted the Cabrio but I could not see over the top when it was folded down so the Passion is my choice.

Well, it was just this week that I posted my "wondering when I will hear" on this forum. Got my email today and says they expect delivery late half - which people seem to think still is May.
Going to Mercedes tommorrow to look at it one more time to make my final decision. I finally got ahold of my old dream car - 1996 Toyota 2 door RAV 4 with double sunroof and would really hate to part with it after getting it all fixed up - but that SMART sure is cute....Tough decision.
Alittle hesitant about the whole 3 cyclinder thing and that lull in gear shifts - I only test drove it once - wanted the passion because of the sunroof - but then realized it didn't open - wondering if it will feel like a magnifying glass - then drove the convertible which was great - but wondering about driving down I-95 with the 18 wheelers....
Any encouraging thoughts?????
