How long between reservation and confirmation

So can anyone in the Chicagoland tell me how many weeks before your delivery date did you Configure?

Was it at Loeber?

Their system is definitely not right. I configured on the 26th like you and the dealer list does not show me for the whole month of Nov. Hoping that I hear something soon for a DEC date. I reserved in June 2007 but held off on ordering until the local dealer contacted me. I configured on June 24, 2008 and picked my car up October 7, 2008.

I reserved on July 12th and just got the invitation to configure today, so only about 3 months from reservation to configuring.

I placed the order for ours 6/17/07 and received the confirmation 2/16/08. We just picked it up last week on 9/30/08. The dealer told us that three of them, ours included, came in early. They had been expecting them to come in around 11/15.

I has been running fine! The gas mileage gets better as you break it in. In town/highway went from 37 mpg to 41 mpg. We'll find out on interstate driving next week.

I made my reservation in May of this year ('08), and I just got my confirmation letter about a month ago. Unfortunately, since the yellow is no longer offered as a standard color, I changed my configuration to Rally Red and a red interior. I also ordered a silver Tridion cell.

After confirming my reservation, I noticed my delivery date change from October/December 2009 to September/November 2009 within a week. That got me a bit excited...

...but THEN, I checked the DDE again yesterday, and my delivery date moved again...

...to February/April 2009! Oh, yeah!

What's funny is that my company is moving, and we have to be moved by February. This means that my current carpool will not be able to take me to work, and I need to find another way. But, I just may end up getting my Smart right on time...

I made my reservation in May of this year ('08), and I just got my confirmation letter about a month ago also.
Just received a call yesterday 11-14-08 that the car will delever in Jan-Feb time frame.
Like beatusmongous we went from a delivery date of Sept. There must be alot of cancellations to be moved up so far.

Reserved in 10/07. Configuration email 11/13/08. This is the Chicagoland area. I did get an orphan on 2/1/08. I love my orphan and don't see the need to get the second smart right now...... will decide by 11/19.
