Newbie question; maybe a dumb one - DDE is WHERE?

OK I reserved my Passion about two weeks back. Where can I look at the Delivery Date Estimator? I only have the confirmation number xxx1586. How can I see how long I may have to wait. LINKS if you've got them, please.

At smart USA - open your mind to the car that challenges the status quo, bottom left of page; click on the DDE link, fill in the e-mail address used for your reservation on the next page, and don't expect to get a date if you haven't configured yet.

Oh, my - I don't know how I missed that before. My DDE is June - Aug. 2009! I guess I'd better call the local dealers and get on their orphan list. But first I need to drive down and do a test drive on one. . .

I made my reservation about a month ago and it does not even give me a date at all yet. Hopefully, it will at least give me a May-July 09 date.

From what I have seen, its about a 12-13 month wait until you get it. Some have been sooner, some longer. If you aren't overly picky I would do the Orphan list a your local dealer(s). You might get lucky and get what you want! Never know.

Then you may want to buy both! A lot of people are doing this. If you do the math it's cheaper to own two smarts than it is to own one SUV!

I made my res about 2 months ago and my DDE is 10/2009-12/2009! Good luck getting an sooner thru your res. You will need to get on an orphan list.
