Reserving, online or Dealer?

I reserved online after seeing the car of my dreams at the dealer. what I want to know is should I have done it at the dealer? see, they told me it would be 6-8 months to get the car. so about August. but I reserved online. does that make a difference? PLEASE help me.

If you want a car sooner, put your name on the dealers orphan list,

gamernotwatcher is correct, but nabbing an early orphan also has its drawbacks, and you have to decide if you want to live with them. First is, you may not get all the features or color schemes you want. Second is, we're seeing a few hiccups in early cars, which should be addressed in a few months.

My orphan was well worth the risk ;). If you are not too picky on color it is the best way to get one more quickly. And who knows, you may find some of the options it has better than expected. Darn heated seats are nice and toasty. Good luck to you.
