Geee some of you don't have any imagination
Let us say that on the day of my delivery, I have SnakeFarm show up with me.... (private agreement already between he and I)
During the final completion of the sale and just as the registration and titling begins I tell my sale guy-- or the dealer's "money pit" boss-- that this is a gift to my significant other, no we are not married (Sheesh this IS Texas) and I have some insurance issues due to my problem drinking (Having a lover like Snake will do that)...
Any who---"we" prefer to not have joint title or any Texas community property rights of survivorship and desire the registration documents and title to be solely in Snake's name......
You can take it to the bank that the money pit boss is gonna shrug his shoulders, take Snake's info, complete the sale, registration, and titling as fast as he can.....
Dealers don't give a care about how they get paid as long as they get paid
Same scenario.... my Stepson has his father's last name.... perhaps this summer, when my car arrives, I have lost interest but want to gift the car to my boy....
Anyone want to take bets that my sales guy at Classic Smart of Round Rock Texas will have some problem with registration or title in Justin Diamond's name even though Fred von Gortler's drivers license number is on the reservation form...
Certainly PAG took steps to preclude dealer, scalpers and other ways for reservation holders to try and make any money on this hot ticket car.... But trust me there are going to be some examples of dealers and consumers finding creative ways to get around these rules.
I would be willing to bet there are several PAG and IB "real insiders" who have more then one reservation...wink wink.... We will NEVER ever know for sure if I am right because PAG will NEVER release the entire list to any one...EVER.... And that, my friends, would be the ONLY way to prove I am full of crap
