smart usa promise of information

on friday 1-18-08 i recieved a reservation update from smart usa that included the following
"Reservation Holders whose vehicles are in route from Germany have been notified by smart USA and their dealer. Within the next 30 days any Reservation Holder who has a confirmed order in production will also be notified by smart USA and their dealer." Well the 30 days are up on sunday. i will give them a month so i should be hearing something from smart and the dealer MONDAY!!! didn't everyone get this email? who has heard anything since Jan 18?

That e-mail should have included which is you assigned dealer. So I take it that your dealer has not called you?
I would call them asap. Go to their Smart Center website, check the "Key Staff" section in "About us" and e-mail them today, then call them this week. Make sure to ask what is your VIN #.

Received the same email and nothing from smart USA or my dealer. We'll se what happens on Monday.

I beleave this comment "Within the next 30 days any Reservation Holder who has a confirmed order in production will also be notified by smart USA and their dealer." is talking about the 30 day groups of e-mails that some have received. So on Jan 11, 08 the first set of these e-mails went out, then on Feb 1, 08 the second set went out. So we should be looking to friday of next week or even Mar 1, 08 for the third set.

gene, it says within the NEXTthirty days not within thirty days of delivery. i confirmed in early november. the only thing i can think is that my car is not in production. OR they sent this ouyt and had a snafoo with the transmission and are way behind on their expected timetable. i would prefer that they tell me what is going on and not let me guess and wait. even if you don't know anything for sure, COMMUNICATE please
