"An update for reservation holders from smart USA"

Am I missing something here?

Reservation Holders whose vehicles are in route from Germany have been notified by smart USA and their dealer. Within the next 30 days any Reservation Holder who has a confirmed order in production will also be notified by smart USA and their dealer.

In the first paragraph they state "Reservation Holders whose vehicles are in route from Germany have been notified by smart USA and their dealer".

Our local dealer delivered an 1180 reservation yesterday. So the assumption is that they have produced at least up to early 1180's

That seems to leave a hole in the schedule as one would think that 1181's and up would be getting notification from smart and the dealer shortly but from what I can gather from various threads most dealers have no idea when they will get more information. My dealer thinks it will not be till Feb.

How bout some thought on this?

I think we psyched our selves into believing all 1173, 1174 etc would be receiving cars in the order they "insider reserved" and seemed to "configure"... but we have too little data and no way to gage ratios of orders based on dealer or region...

Re-- the current 1180 who gets a car before some 1173...1179

We are starting to see, that of the 50~60 open for business dealers, PAG wants to spread the allocation fairly evenly across all new dealers at least for the fist few deliveries...

It is possible that one or more dealers have reservation/configured lists where the very first potential owner in that region or dealer zip code was a 1180.... 1195 or higher

I sort of fear that my 1215 (I assume May-Aug delivery) may be ready for pickup next 60 days...

Without knowing the distribution of all reservation/confirmed insiders... It is highly likely some 1173/1174s may not get their cars as soon as they thought, while April/May and June reservation insiders are up pretty fast-- just because of the regional distribution-- even spread-- roll out scheme

Any confirmation that once the dealer is on smart Connect they can see ALL of the Rezos in their territory? Anybody?

This is what I am hoping for so based upon their allocation and where I am in their particular queue I can get an idea of delivery time, not factoring in picking up an orphan.

Carnut,
Germain Motors , my first dealer, but they didn't complete their Smart Sowroom, then I was transferred to Swope in Louisville. Germain could NOT acess my reservation specifics. Louisville could 5 minutes later, so I'd say No.

I seem to remember some posts saying this way back when (September?) and those folks taking a bashing from the 1173s. Turns out we really didn't know how Penske was going to distribute the cars and how much weight would be given to regions and zip codes. Now if we just knew what the Louisville folks did to piss off PAG...

So that means that a 1197 in (God forbid) Cleveland could take delivery before lower numbers in more hip areas of the country. Sweeeeet!

it seems possible-- but it all depends on all the reservations made from the zipcodes that Cleavland Smart Dealer will service...

If their Jan-Feb "roll out leveling" allocation is 35~65 cars then it all depends on how many in THAT area resereved, and on what day after March 19th 07 (1173) they reserved... 100 reservations between 1174--1195 could hose you up some...
