Once smart USA receives your $99 reservation fee, you will receive in return a 10-digit reservation number. This number is actually a coded date and time stamp for when you reserved. It can be decoded as follows:
The last four digits represent the date that you reserved. It is the number of days counting froward from 1/1/04 to the day of reservation. So March 19, 2007, the first day reservations could be made, equals 1173 (1173 days after 1/1/04). Other numbers translate as follows:
1186 = 4/1/07
1216 = 5/1/07
1247 = 6/1/07
1277 = 7/1/07
1308 = 8/1/07
1339 = 9/1/07
1369 = 10/1/07
1400 = 11/1/07
1430 = 12/1/07
1461 = 1/1/08
1492 = 2/1/08
1521 = 3/1/08
The first six digits represent the time of day that you reserved (actually the moment that the computer created your reservation). It is the time written in hours, minutes and seconds, reversed, and based on the 24-hour clock and Pacific time zone.
For example: if your reservation was created at 21 seconds past 10:25 pm Central Time, that equates to 20:25:21 PT, which would result in the first six digits of your reservation number being 125202.
