Future models that are committed

Hello,
I have seen many sketches of futuristic smarts that allow for bicycles to sit in the back, like a pickup. How can I best learn about the future model styles that are real?
Thanks
Ryan

Wait for official announcements/releases from smart. Next month info on the next gen fortwo should be released at the Frankfurt Autoshow. Possibly info on the four passenger car will also be released.

If the write up says "Concept" Then it aint real?

The "pick-up" version with the bikes in the back was called the "For-US" and was shown at the Detroit Auto show in 2011

If what you are looking at says "Special Edition" then it is real, but limited availability (Current one is the "Cityflam Special Edition")

The Smart Team is so lost for ideas (no clue) that they, send up trial Balloons once in awhile to see what direction the wind is blowing... They just throw us a new Easter Egg color once in awhile, and think were dumb enough to think they just gave us some real engineering...

"According to a new report, two preview concepts of the all-new Smart ForTwo and ForFour will be showcased at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show."

Two new Smart concepts for Frankfurt | Autocar

also: Mercedes-Benz boss Dieter Zetsche confirmed that all future Smart models will be based around the new rear engine/rear-wheel drive platform. “It is the brand’s defining feature, a unique selling point that sets Smart apart,” he said. “There are no plans to adopt a more conventional front engine/front-wheel drive layout for a larger, additional model.”

No front-drive Smart SUV, says Mercedes boss | Autocar

Lightbulb new platform can support varrying wheelbase and track widths

-Offer everything! fortwo, fortwo cab, fortwo tonneau, forfour, forfour cab, forpickup, crossfour crossover.

-Yes they should consider a roadster and even a chopped roof forlow like the new MINI coupe. Different strokes for folks who want to go low without the extra length.

-Why not go ahead with a stripped extra cargo fortwo Long based off the forfour without the back seats. Call it the fortool?

-The forfour will be 5" longer than a Toyota Aygo.
I bet they will have four VERY roomy seats for 6'6" (2M tall) people.

At least the boneheads at C&D used a photo of a BRABUS edition red - a good looking car.
