You are probably referring to our company in the above statement.
I can certainly understand your frustration in trying to secure a rear wheel for your smart. We typically have these wheels in stock because many customers decide to upgrade to custom wheels and trade their stocks in.
However, the rear wheels have been a hot commodity lately. Sometimes we get 5 sets of wheels traded in a week and sometimes it is only 1-2 sets. We can never tell. The orders are about the same. Some weeks 5 sets and some 1-2.
During the last several weeks we have had a lot of interest in the rear wheels and even though the trade ins kept coming the sales surpassed them and we currently have a several people on a waiting list. Sometimes the wait is a couple of days and sometimes it is a couple of weeks.
We have recently updated our website to reflect this and apologize for the delay.
If you are still interested in getting a set give us a call and we will be glad to inform you of our current time frame.
This board and eBay is also a great place to look for them. There are always folks here selling wheels. If our customers choose to sell the wheels on their own and not trade them in this is the first place I tell them to post.
