I don't have the best driving record (i totalled my 2001 cavalier, have about four speeding tickets, and am only 25), but i knew the 799 from progressive was a deal.
I know USAA is a even better (i have an ex that has a DUI and pays less than 100 a month on his 2004 pathfinder), but i'm not military nor were my parents so i don't qualify.
As Lisa hinted, insurance depends on so many variables that it's unfair to compare. Think credit, age, location (city, suburbia), use (pleasure, business, multiple drivers), mileage, record, other coverage (house), etc... all those factors have an impact.
But formost, as posted above, is it a 450 or a 451. Some insurances would only cover the latter.
LisaERei - because you were a military wife, you might get into USAA because of that ex-relationship. Go to their web page to get their contact info and find out if you, too, can be a member! I'm a son of a... retired army colonel and have enjoyed USAA for many years. Good company.
My $58/mo (2nd car) is because of higher limits and lower deductibles where I could be $16/mo lower going more for minimums.

well, we never quite got married, so i won't qualify. :-)
also... SOME insurance companies offer a 'good student' discount... although i'm not sure if this will apply to many people here... i tried to get that through progressive, but they made sure to point out i was already getting discounts on having (the smart) security system installed, place of employment, etc. and they also stopped doing the 'good student' program (although i am going to call again to make sure).
i'd also check to see if taking a 'good driver' class helps as well, i took one when i was with GEICO and they told me unless i turn 30 tomorrow i wasn't getting any further discounts.
I had a 2005 Nissan Murrano leased. I replaced it with a 2008 Scion xD (about 1/2 the cost) and my rate went up. A month later I added a 2008 smart and the rate was higher than the xD. I guess that Allstate thinks that the smart is going to cost them a lot more money than the Nissan Murano or the Scion xD.
I think that the insurance companies just gouge you for everything that they can!!
