IN Jan USAA quote was $318 for 6 months (estimated)

Yesterday we added the Passion to policy for an increase of $36 per month = $216... I am happy with that rate (no car is not delivered yet)

This seems to be all over the map - I just added my Smart to my Geico policy and the additional cost was only about $30 a month. - sheureka

I am sure I missed several other factors

The good news is we all seem to be able to insure the car and not many of us are upset with the cost

I just spoke to Liberty Mutual who insures my other 3 vehicles and the smart add-on (4th auto) will increase my insurance $1203.00 year. No accidents or tickets. Auto insurance in WV is SKY HIGH!!!

I just called about a new quote for a smart from progressive. $148.00/6months full coverage $100 deductable, loan payoff if totalled.

I added my smart passion to my existing State Farm account (auto and home) and it costs $400 every 6 months here in the Seattle area. Adding the smart car to the account allows me to switch my Tahoe to "recreational use only" though, which will lower the net cost somewhat. (I haven't found out how much yet.)

Try allstate. I tried a bunch of companies in NJ and they all wanted to charge me over $1200/6 mo. Allstate was the cheapest at $885/6 mo

Right after the gov't crash test rating came out, I got a quote of $465-$517 for 12 months (dependent upon cost of the car) from Erie Insurance. We already have them for our auto & home insurance with various discounts.

If you finance you have full coverage, I believe. If you have a total loss, you're on the hook for your payments.

I'm just called GEICO, as they're my carrier, and they quoted me $386/6, $100/300 both and $50k prop damage. I have $1k deductible for collision and $0 ded on comp.

This is full coverage.

A bit disappointing; it's only $50 less (for 6 months) than my BMW X3.
