Its annoying but think about it. You really know that car is stopping. If you happened to be focused on a different place than straight ahead, the flashing brake light is going to grab your vision's attention.

Dave, Thanks for the photos of the impulse flasher installation. Although a pretty brain dead operation it's nice to have a little backup from those who have tread the waters before us. I did disconnect my battery before I started installation. I'm a little nervous around my new toy. Dan

Dave, thank you for the write-up. I ordered one from webelectrics this morning and got the email that it shipped out today.

Just got one for the 09 from GoMiniGo - cheaper than webelectric products with the GMG January discount (both are good units - had the webelectric one on our 08.)

Purchased my flashing brake light "device" from SMART MADNESS a while back. Don't know if they still carry it.

I have a 450 and I had a terrible time installing it. I ended up using info from the
EVILUTION (sp?) website to mount it. For all you 450 owners out there go to the Evilution site first and read everything about removing the rear plastic . On the 450's the third brake light pushes into a two prong fitting. There are no wires visible. Had to open up the rear hatch window and remove all the plastic from the back side to get to the wires. (thanks Evilution) It was worth the time and effort it took to install to have this nessessary item.

2005 450 CDi. I just tapped the pulser into wiring for the third brake light behind the left indicator light cluster . Easy-peasy.
