Where is this blower motor located?

Do I access the blower motor from the interior, under the dash or elsewhere?
Thanks, John

Directly above the gas pedal.

First off, terrific post! Thanks for the great info.

So what about "it takes 2 minutes to pull the motor"? I've searched for the procedure to drop the motor but found nothing. Would you mind explaining how you drop the motor?

TIA!

Check out post #1, look up under the dash, remove the electrical connector, feel around the top of the motor flange, you will find a tab(look at picture #3), flex it out and turn the motor counter clockwise. You can then just pull it out.

D'oh! I'm an idiot. Of course you were referring to the blower motor, whereas I thinking motor as in engine.

My bad.

Thanks for the reply.

You forgot to mention Step 1

You forgot to mention Step 1:
Acquire the services of a skinny, lanky kid with long, skinny, lanky arms.

Once that is done, the rest is a snap.

At some point will the brushes need to be replaced? And if so, is there a source for them?

Well I can tell you, I have NEVER been called skinny or lanky, and I left the "kid" stage about 20 years ago. I didn't have an issue getting under the dash far enough to remove it.

I don't know about brush replacement, but if I remember right, I think they were either riveted or soldered in place. Not saying it's impossible, just not easy to replace them.
