I pulled it put today. I cant reach the end of the plug that is connected to the glove box. Is that plug able to connect to an 1/8th inch plug?

I'm a little confused what you're having an issue with. The jack that comes stock in the glovebox has two ends: one on the stereo side and one on the glovebox side.

If the issue is that you can't get to the glovebox connector to remove it, you're working from the wrong end. The glovebox connector has an unusual washer arrangement around it from the glovebox side (right there visible from the passenger seat) where the the center/top piece pops up to allow the surrounding/bottom fingers to decompress so they can release from inside the ledge of the mounting hole. The connector will drop out the back of the hole if it's quick about things.

The standard connector size in the glovebox is 3.5mm (reference: smart Operator's Manual).

It's a great design for blind-mounting something into an otherwise inaccessible hole. If only your average Joe (John?) knew how to identify and use it properly.

Not sure what the plan is here but if you need some extra aux cables to play with, send a PM to Napolean12.

Jedi,
What are you trying to accomplish by installing a splitter behind the glove box plug?

What I wanted to do is split the aux input from behind the stereo so that I can have my XM radio always connected to it but if I want to listen to my iPod, it is connected via the glove box and I can pull it out and play it. I was hoping to do this without splicing

Do you still have the stock radio or upgraded to aftermarket one?
