Hmmmm, sounds like a little was involved with that.

Still like my pod clock , I use it quite often.

Regarding the tach and clock getting in the way of your GPS; I place my friction mount to the left of the steering wheel. This area I find offers the least interferance with visability...

Will these DIY tach + clock instructions work for model 450?

Does anyone know if these same DIY tachometer + clock installation instructions will work for the model 450 (Euro) Smart Car?

Thanks,
John

Dash Pods.

I am new to the Smart forum and am still finding my way around. After seeing the dash pods I knew I 'needed' a set but the dealer wanted around $360.00 to purchase and install them. That was a little too rich for me so I declined. I started looking on line and found this forum. After comparing vendor prices I found a member vendor, Smart Online Parts, who had them on sale. Then I found the link for installing them. The instructions were right on and the pictures were a big help. In about 30 minutes I had them mounted. And the results look just as good as the dealers. I figure I saved over $100.00. I was disappointed when I realized the dash pods do not come with a bezel, so now I have them on order. Thanks, again for the link.

I'm thinking about adding the dash pods to my 2011 Passion but the instructions on evilution are for a pre-2011 451. Has anyone installed them on a 2011 yet and if so how much different is the install with the new dash?

Haven't seen anything on adding the pods to the 2011. Looks like a completely different setup for securing them.
