Just want a used one, for experimentation. Nothing wrong with the one that's there, just want to try a few things. I don't care for the "rubber band" feel of the drivetrain, but don't want a solid mount either.

The dealer has them for $45 bucks.
I know this because I have destroyed a few working on the same type of project.

My solution is to install an engine damper. it works great for dramatically reducing the movement of the Motor/Trans and does not transmit the noise that the Torque link/nearly solid mount gave me.

it is not for the rookie, pm or email me with questions.

Mendo what did you try and Godfather what do you have in mind?

I'm also working on something, just picked up a mount from the Dealer. Gonna try molding urethane inserts in a couple different durometers.

already did it.

tried 88 and 80. still didn't pass the "Wife test" (she said it was too loud)

The advantage of the damper is you can adjust how stiff and how much play you have before it starts to function. This setup passed the test.

I left the oem mounts in place and filled them with non-hardening urethane. Adds some rigidity without removing all dampening and is a super-cheap mod.

What durometer? And did you fill all the mounts or just the link?
