As far as the wrecked car, I bet that core support is trashed, panels, headlights and maybe something else. A quick fix for a savvy wrencher but for this one it'll still have a salvage title at the end of the day and you'll have end up spending as much as you would of for one with a decent title.

They have some awesome cars in their stable, and I thought all Iowa had to offer was corn (I'm kidding, my brother lived there for a good 15 years so I know they also have a Wal Mart distribution center there too )

Sam's gets vehicles from all over the US, so there's a good possibility that this smart as well as the rest of the cars are not from Iowa.

Bent frame? I had a used car once that looked pretty good until the mechanic I took it to pointed out the frame had been bent in an accident. A costly lesson in the value of spending a little on having a trusted mechanic check the car BEFORE I buy it.

I want the complete exhaust system including manifold/catalytic converter section but yes I know they may not be parting out and can't legally sell catalytic converters.

Is this particular to your state or a national thing? A quick Google search came up with ways to obtain catalytic converters aside from the direct dealer approach.
