Looking for the pods, if I can't find a set on here anyone know what they will cost at the dealer installed?

all in all, ballpark $450.00 for the two pods installed at dealership. I asked Ben (of smartcenter PIT) about it some months ago...

Call Paul Bridle (smart of Round Rock). He sales them for $270 plus $18 for the rings. You can install them yourself if you know how to plug in a connector and tighten a screw.

Do you want to split a kit?

You take tach and I take clock? I have a project that I am working on. We might need to decide what to do with the base as well...

I just called Tony at SmartCenter Milwaukee and he's going to get me a quote. If it's not too crazy $ I'm going to have it installed.

Please do as suggest above and call Paul Bridle at smart center round rock texas...he has lowest price

installation is too simple

1. Pull straight out the button/switch assy under your radio

2. Remove the ONE 25 mm torx screw

3. Slip a thin paint scraper or butter knife under the plastic cover starting up on the flat portion on top of the dash and pry up to release the large plastic cover surround of the radio...

4. The tach and clock pods are on a common base ( only way to split them is hack saw)
a.) Install in the obvious location
b.) Screw the 25mm torx screws into the obvious locations

5. Plug in the electrical connector in the "only fits one way" obvious location

6. The hard part.... the radio surround cover has to be "Notched" to accommodate the two "arms" that support the PODS. IIRC the bottom of the dash cover radio surround is pre marked... sharp knife, dremel tool, Xacto knife, course file... you need to use some method to remove 1/4 tall by 3/4 wide slot for the POD attachment arms to pass under the cover... you will spend more time gathering tools and scratching head then the plastic removal.... but go ahead and take your time and be patient it is not really that hard

7. Install and snap down the radio surround cover and re-install the ONE 25mm torx screw

8. Push back in the button/switch cluster

9. Done in under 20~30 minutes

Paying a dealer 0.5 to 1.0 shop hours to do this is silly...IMO

Thanks to Dave triple 7 for catching my ommission.... getting old sux...

I actually found the two clocks handy on a recent trip - kept one on "home" time and one on local time.
