Fred, I agree it's pretty easy, if one has the tools and a basic level of comfort with do-it-yourself.

You left out the step of cutting/filing/routing out the plastic cover to fit the pods. That alone takes at least 5 minutes. I agree though, total job can be done in less than 20 minutes and Evilutions's site has great step-by-step photos.

+1....but it took me like 20 minutes to do just this part because I am OCD! 8)

can we put another gauge in the pod instead of another clock

how about a volt gauge, my scan gauge has one but theres many other possibles

The pod can fit 60mm gauges but it's the depth that is restrictive. Most 60mm gauges has a depth of about 50mm. Plus of course there is the connector behind the gauge, which will add another 5mm to 8mm. Running the harness down through the pod stand might be another challenge to overcome.

I presume the clock runs on a 5V or possibly a 12V. So there must be a way to get a volt kit from Radioshack, wire up a couple of 7-seg display, and should be good to go.
