Even though the factory option price for the tach/clock pods was not bad, I did not want the redundancy of two clocks. I also did not want a hole in the dash after removing the clock. I am also interested in just the tach pod. If there are others out there with the same request, let it be known. Maybe the vendors/dealers would consider offering just the tach.
Only problem is Smart factory only offer the tach/clock as a single part. Separating the pods will be a problem.
I am sure if there was enough demand, Smart/dealer/vendors would find a way around this "problem". It also seems unrealistic that those who may need to get a replacement for either the clock or tach would have to get both.
