WTB: 451 tacho/clock pods w/silver rings

looking for the dash-top mounted tacho and clock pods with silver rings preferred, cash, local pick-up in the southern california los angeles/orange county/san diego/santa barbara area.

Think you'll have to try your local dealers; they should be able to order them. The silver rings are aftermarket trim I believe.

My local dealer wanted $265 for the clock and tach setup.... I refused because it looks like it is Wal-Mart quality.

Which dealer had the $265 tacho/clock pods? If it's a Southern California Dealer let me know, I'll step up and swoop down!

If you buy and install yourself, warranty is voided. According to my dealer if you purchase the tach and clock and and do not have the dealer install it your warranty will be void.

Has anyone else heard this?

I would ask to see where it says that in writing; sounds fishy to me. Sorta like if you change your own oil it voids the warranty.

They are 100% wrong, they can only void the warranty if they can PROVE that your installation of the unit in some way caused the malfunction that needs repaired. How are they going to do that on a factory part?

I think I will ask. I'm getting an orphan tomorrow and it has everything but the tach and clock. Silver/Silver comfort package, premium sound, alarm. Won't sleep much tonight.

they are right about the warranty. its only if your install caused the problem isit void.
As for install, i have yet to do one. I was told the tach had to be programed into SAM (ecu) to work properly

Install takes only a few minutes. The hardest part is finding the end to plug the guages into.
