Update.........Mr. Flowers has asked and I have agreed to repurchase "Smiley" from him this morning. That transaction is completed.
As Mr. Flowers explained, " I have serious health issues I'm dealing with in my personal life, and with advice from his medical providers, convinced him to dispose of his personal automobiles several years ago, and that he simply couldn't utilize the Smart Car"......Mr. Flowers went onto to further explain that he purchased the raffle ticket, in jest to help further our cause at helping others fight the disease of cancer, never imagining he would actually win it. In as much it just seemed the right "Smart" thing to do........eliminating Mr. Flowers worries of winning the car and being burdened with it, including funding the personal tax obligations.
That being said...........I will be attempting to sale "Smiley" our 2010 Smart car. As you can imagine with the cost of the original purchase, transportation fees, titling, taxes ( both vehicle and personal), in addition to buying the car back from Mr. Flowers, I have a small fortune invested in her, Many times the value of a compariable Smart Car. I too realize I will not be recovering any where near the total sum involved............ buts that okay too.
I will be asking a minimum of $12,000.00 for her.......If you or anyone you know wants or needs a little yellow Pure Chrome Edition Smart Car. Please point them my way via e-mail @
webmaster@oceancrestpier.net
The car has Air Conditioning, Power widow locks and doors, Stereo w/ CD as well the Special Chrome addition package. Currently "Smiley" has less than 60 dealer driven miles on the odommeter, and may be driven a few more causual miles in the inturn.....I have title in hand.
I will be putting her on E-bay in the days to come, if I have not disposed of her accordingly beforehand. The minimum bid reserve will begin @ $12,000.00.
Thank You...........Dave
