Mark123 can have different meaning other than just a persons name try googling on Mark 1 2 3 for instance. He may not send a PM or even look at this thread any more since he was totally trashed.....
Why don't you PM him if you feel a need to apologize?
And since when is broken English a crime?
And if anyone has a problem with a topic or thread there is a little triangle ! at the bottom left of each post to report it to the moderators. Vigilantisms has no place or should have no place in such a wonderful group.

Well ... "Jeepster55" ... if that IS your real name ... There are a great many people on forums such as this whose handles don't match up to the names that are a part of their email address. And there are plenty of people who can't write in the King's English, might even misspell words (y'know ... like you did with "addresss"), could possibly even use bad grammar or poor sentence structure (y'know ... like you did with "i believe that on the same day earlier"), and may not type with proper capitalization (y'know ... like you do). That doesn't mean they're "NOT 28" or "NOT from around here." It simply means that's how they write.

Was that "someone" Mark123? No? Then why bring it up?

Methinks you defend your attack far too much.

Why? So you could attack him again? So you could jump all over him for his grammatical skills or his "broken English?"

What the hell, dude?

Why the hell should he? You're not God. You're not the leader of the internet. You're just some guy who jumped all over someone - a new person here, who expressed an interest in buying a Smart and even went to the trouble to make sure it was posted in the right place - and now demands that that person do something. For you. After you attacked him.

Sheesh.

"We" who? You attacked a new member and - apparently - drove them away. You're a frickin' xenophobe! It's not your forum, it's not your job to protect the internet from what you perceive as a scam, it's ... not ... your ... job.

If you have - as you say - so much experience with scams, then you should know that the way you deal with them is to either ignore them or report them and then ignore them.

I simply cannot believe that someone who considers them an adult would jump all over this Mark123 person as you did. That's just not the Smart way. It's a happy car. Lighten the hell up.

Your pal,
Meat.

But, it seems like I would be ridiculed if I put it up for sale. Oh well... it is for sale! Availble now in Southern California. faulknerjohn@verizon.net if you would like to discuss more.

Someone will probably remove this post since I am offending the "TRUE" Smarties... I am a true smartie but something in my life changed that doesn't allow me to own one right now. Nuff Said....

Hope you sell your car and find a ride that suits your new family, congratson the new member of the family

I'm with those who said Mark123 was unfairly attacked. The attack reflects poorly on this group of smart owners, who have generally been very supportive of each other (at least that's what I've observed from the forum messages).

Despite all its positive attributes, the smart is still a commodity. We need to remember that. If someone wants to come in and "jump the line" by asking if anyone wants to sell his/her smart, what's wrong with that if the person is willing to pay the seller's asking price? If that asking price reflects what the market will bear and the premium for not having to wait in the reservation system, then so what? That's the "free" market system we have in the U.S.

If you don't have a smart to sell, why respond to his request in such a negative way? For that matter, why respond at all; do you think I'd want to hear from you if I put the word out that I want to buy a car and you don't have the car I'm looking for? Let those who want to sell respond as they see fit; let the buyer beware, yes, but the seller also has a duty to protect his/her own interests. You don't need to protect anyone here.

totally agree. people have different reasons for making their decisions, reasons that don't always need to be exlplained.

that being said, my blk/blk passion loaded leather smart is for sale. 1500 miles. make me a realistic offer. its got %15 tinting all the way around.

I did not say what you quoted me as saying. Libel is an interesting life choice. Makes people not believe what you say or write.

Congratulations on your lack of credibility.
