Is it possible to still make money on Smart Cars??

I have a brand new 09 arriving in a couple weeks.

All black passion, with red interior. Nicely loaded, around $15k.

I was wondering if I could even make $1000, letting someone else buy it?

Not sure if there is enough demand anymore with the economy and such.

Thoughts?

Its very hard to make a profit off of them now. I know someone that sold theres and it was 100 dollars under what they paid for it.

Just check out some of the deals that are being offered right now with other manufacturers. 0% financing and thousands and thousands of dollars off sticker prices. We've got gas prices at historic lows and tons of money being pumped into the economy by the government (free money for everyone!) and nobody buying cars.....yet.

The new red seats look pretty good. The deeper color works well on the fabric, but the new red exterior seems kind of candy colored to me. Some people will love it. I am kind of luke warm on the color. I got used to the old red.

Yup...it's all over...if you don't want it for yourself....you may as well leave it at the dealership.

There are still some folks trying to "get what they paid" including sales tax on cars that have mileage on them and are quickly finding out that it doesn't work that way anymore.

I'm still "smarting" over having to orphan my smartie last Feb and I'm looking forward to picking up a used one in a year or two once values have dropped and my savings balance as risen.

The pictures don't do the color justice-much deeper and purer red in color.
