Yellow Cabrio for sale

This is all new to me. I took delivery on a smart cabrio about a month ago and yesterday I bought a yellow cabrio as a result of someone canceling their order. I wrote a check for a total of $23,538.53 which represents the base price of $16,590, $850 comfort package, $3,495 for fancy wheels and larger tires, $1,538.53 sales tax, $18 title transfer, $399 aministrative fee, $3 warranty right.

The car is still parked at the dealer. I would like to make a few bucks on the flip. What would someone pay me?

WHERE is it?

what state? if it were close by, i might be interested, but i don't want the 'fancy wheels and big tires'. standard Passion wheels and tires are fine with me.

It's in Atlanta. I don't know whether the dealer would work out something on the wheels or not. Hasn't been driven.

Well you should probably kiss that $399 "admin fee" goodbye, and the $3400 for the wheels and tires are a bit much. Sales tax is of no use to me, I shouldn't have to pay $1500 in a private party sale. I think you should ask $20,000 for it, if someone is desperate they may pay you your asking price.

All your "flip'en profit" is in those "$3,495 fancy wheels" and other dealer markup. I think you'll be taking a substantial loss on this one!

The horse is already out of the barn (IMHO). The profit was made early on selling the car to eager beavers that had to have it NOW. Now it is apparent that there are plenty of cancellations giving purchasing an orphan an opening for many. There are still a small number of enchanted believers, but I doubt they will be willing to pay the price required for covering double sales tax. In the long run reality wins.
