The discussion in this thread established that replacing the cruise control with the bypass plug (restoring original electrical connections) eliminates the problem so removing the cruise control will remove the symptom.

The discussion also showed that the loss of throttle also occurs when the switch cable is completely disconnected, eliminating that as a main culprit.

The other items that weren't reported on here (but perhaps at forum.area451parts.com) included shielding the box, adding a ferrite to the power line, and/or adding ferrites to other signal wires.

I really liked the response from the lead designer in this post earlier in this thread.

Just to clarify on a possible point of confusion... he says he bought his unit at Smart Madness, who doesn't sell Area 451 cruise controls AFAIK so surely he must have the MDC. The Jumper Plug mentioned by John is specifically for the Area 451 brand cc.

Regardless, John is right that the solution is to shield affected components appropriately for your level of RFI.
