Aftermarket Ceramic Brake Pads?

Anyone put aftermarket brake pads on their smart? Post 17" lorinsers all around, I've noticed considerable decrease in stopping power....

went to pep boys / autozone, and searched the net, but no leads on a good aftermarket pad for the smart....

any help?

thanks!

I've had EBC greenstuff pads on my car since I got it. While not ceramic, they're lower in dust than the very-dusty stock pads.

After finding that the ceramic EBC redstuff pads are available for import to the US, Darin at scp-parts.com now has an order in the system; they haven't arrived yet but shouldn't take too long to get here.

I'll replace my greenstuff with redstuff and cut my own dust to next-to-nothing. I'm more interested in dust reduction since my stopping power is what I expect but it would be interesting (after a few hundred miles) to see what a panic-stop does with the new pads.

Replace the rotors too. With harder pads, the oem rotors wear down very quickly!
