Glad I didn't get it! Thanks! I'll keep looking for a used Brabus and if I didn't find anything I'll get the Remus. Anyone have that exhaust o know if its quiet? Sorry to hear you didn't like it...what are you going to end up doing to replace the solo that you didn't like?

I have this made for the US market UK made exhaust and I find it about perfect: just a little bit louder than the stock Brabus but much quieter than the other exhausts on the market.

Yes, we do.

We have one in stock that was removed from a customers' car. He had it on and found it too loud. We switched it out for a SOLO and he was and still is very pleased with the sound. While it louder than stock, it is makes much less noise than most other performance exhausts out in the market.

We have new Borla ones coming, but it will take a while. They are not in production now and we have been given an approximate time of 6-8 weeks.

I am sorry you are not satisfied with it. We state that the SOLO exhaust is a well made exhaust system that generates less noise than a DTH, Breathless and many others. This is factual since we have installed and used (except for Genius) every exhaust in the market place. The ONLY exhaust we have found that makes less noise than the SOLO is the Remus/BRABUS (both made by Remus) and stock.

We have sold a large number of SOLO exhausts and have had very positive feedback. If you think it is really loud inside keep in mind that this is an aftermarket, performance exhaust and that most others are much, much louder.

Our goal it to always make sure that your transactions with us are a positive experience. If you are not happy with your purchase give us a call and we will do our best to fix it.

Thank you,
Boris

BTW I have nothing against loud exhaust. I got straight pipes on my motorcycle.
I am basing this answer on the fact that Remus makes the BRABUS exhaust...

The SOLO is a bit louder, but not by much. It is just an opinion that is based on hearing both and driving both after we install them. I like exhausts I can hear, what I do not like is having one so loud that it gives you a headache after driving or one that makes you worry about getting pulled over. Neither should give you that worry. I have had a Breathless and a DTH on my own smart and the SOLO is much more quiet.

Maybe i need to b a little more clear about the noise. outside of the car it sounds really good!!! but inside the car with the top up it is really loud!! problably resonant sound in the car. with top down not as bad but still a little loud. Fit and finish is great on the solo exhaust. Very well made. Would really like to have a stock exhaust with center exit, Love the look of the solo just wish there was a way to make it quiet.

Is it that hard to make a center exhaust that is not louder than OEM? All they have to do is just make a removable baffle...I don't understand what's so difficult about manufacturing that. To me its more of a cosmetic thing than a performance thing..I don't know what else to do and I haven't been able to find a used Brabus.

To Many Exhausts

I have had a few exhaust on my Smart. Had the Breathless V1, Way to loud could not even talk in the car , Next went with the Remus exhaust this was very nice great sound could actually use my phone again in my car, the only problem was i have the brabus body kit and did not fit the rear valance was to low made for a stock valance. Found a new brabus exhaust and went to that, fits valance real nice very quite more so than the remus but i think you give up a little performance. i would have kept the remus if it would have fit better. Very happy with the brabus exhaust , now just waiting to upgrade to the turbo with center exhaust and i think i will be done.
