I'm looking at the cruise control in a slightly different way. I'm figuring I will get a LOT of usage of it while I own the car, but when if and when I go to sell it, it will be an added incentive to the purchaser and I will undoubtedly make my smart car appeal to a perspective buyer that much more than one without the cruise control.
Additionally, I have found that with my car, I tend to gradually not press on the accelerator as much when I'm driving for sustained periods of time at highway or freeway speeds. I was commenting just the other day about how with most cars I have a hard time staying UNDER the speed limit, but with my smartie I often find I'm constantly having to 'step on it' to get back up to the speed limit. I'm hoping the cruise control will help me not look like the car is incapable of going highway speeds and being a 'rolling roadblock'. I am SO THANKFUL that a cruise control has become available and can't wait to get it installed.
