Another satisfied customer! I love mine, too. Solid performance - better than other cruise controls I've used in the past.

Happy Cruisin'!

I love my Area 451 CC ... but ... "easy install"? Not so much.

Regards,

Dan

Cruise control install - easy? Yes!!

The installation of the cruise control was very easy. The only problem we had was in removing and installing the pins. As usual if you read and then reread the instruction it would be better as I did not have the correct staples and could not get the pins out. All new units come with the correct removal tool. So my problem will not happen anymore.

However, Steve at SamrtieParts was a tremendous help via phone support.

Could not get any better tech support anywhere.

It would have been nicer if they would have made a male/female jumper plug so it would have been plug and play. But with patience the wiring debacle gets done and the product works great.

This was discussed earlier. It appears the connectors are proprietary and one of them just isn't made for wire applications (but is in PC mount, not that you can buy it). At least this is my recollection. To do the male/female splice connector would require a custom injection-molded connector which is 10s of thousands of dollars. In the end, given the choices, I like the pin extraction!

.With the cruise control, have you experienced any significant difference in gas mileage?

I'd like to know this. I doubt it. I remain hopeful!

You don't see too much of an increase... alittle though just from the fact that the throttle is steady.
