Installed my unit today, took 2.5 hours and didn't rush. Directions were very clear. Used half a dozen zip ties just to keep things neat. Ran wire under tunnel carpet up to front of passenger seat, then across to the door sill and back. Just enough wire and none exposed.
Went out for a test drive, worked flawlessly. Do wish there was a more visible indication that the unit is on (easy to trun off), but the red LED is really about the best they could do, and works.
PM me with your best offer if you want to buy a low mileage staple...

Heck, I'll give a 3-staple block (min.) to anyone who sends a self-addressed, 1st-class stamped envelope. These worked for me, and since I don't have a heavy duty stapler, I might as well give them away. Offer good while supplies last.
There are three sizes in normal use. Those in your office stapler (too small), those in construction staplers (e.g., for insulation tabs, too big), and those in "heavy duty" office staplers (e.g., for more than about 20 sheets of office paper, just right).
Here are some pictures of the staplers, staples, and a box of ideal staples. I was going to offer several to anyone for an SASE, but I'm not the first.
Notice the "HD office" stapler is not a construction stapler. And the staple size is between that of an ordinary office stapler and a construction stapler.
I haven't done mine yet, I was going to ask the dealer. But I think I will now.
Didn't mean anything by it. I actually thought your pics of the different staples were illustrative, but the kit seller's taken the guesswork out of finding the right staple (probably after he read a bunch of us blow a few cranial fuses trying to figure out the staple thing, me included ), so all is good.

No offense taken at all! We all want current and complete and correct information out there.
