Armrest

Not sure if this is the best place to post, but does anyone have a good site to purchase the armrest? Also could you give a brief listing of pros and cons for the armrest you are posting about.

I can tell you I'm one for saving a buck so of course I got the cheapest thing going a while back (year and a half ago). The one purchased was a plastic one. After seeing some of the other offerings out there now, spend a little extra money and get a sturdy one. The cheap plastic ones are too flimsy. They do a job and look decent, but they are still VERY flimsy.

Check around with some of the supporters of this website and you'll find numerous offerings. Whatever you get, go for something metal that attaches to the seat itself.

Good Luck

Go to the vendor marketplace form on this site many of our supporting vendors have armrests. Also on the bottom left side of any main forum page is a list of supporting vendors. Bob.

Kind of glad you posted this. I just installed our Genius Armrest last night.

Preface... for those who don't know me I'm a BIG GUY... for that reason I had been somewhat apprehensive about getting an armrest because I thought it would cut into me... So not the truth...

I have plenty of room and it's FANTASTIC!!!! Looks great and I could install it in about 20 minutes. The armrest is all sturdy metal construction and nice leather top.

I don't have pics due to a camera issue but a quick search of the forums will show you what you need to see.

Feel free to ask any questions.

You're big?

Can't wait to try out that Genius armrest. I briefly tried out Cube's Genius armrest but that was several months ago and I have since forgotten how it felt.

I purchased the plastic one from Armrest King on the web. It was cheap at $109 including shipping. It looked good and was functional. It was a little flimsy and then I leaned over it one day and cracked the base. I just purchased a new sturdy one from smartmadness. They have a great selection. Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way that you get what you pay for.

Getting the leather MDC from smartmadness. Adjustable armrest without any tools. Putting in the one smart that my wife and I both drive. Others out there that are adjustable but need a special wrench.

I ended up going with one of the armrest on smart maddness as well. This
one has a storage compartment and is only $234 including shipping. I will let you guys know what I think. I checked it out at the smart center (looks pretty strurdy), they had the identical one, but that one was secured to the center console and you have to drill holes by both seats. This one secures to the back of the driver seat, so I figured it is a cleaner install. Here is a pic of the one I went with, they do have several colors.
