Try out the new members section to sort of introduce yourself then get yourself an avatar. There are lots of peddlers that come here and one thing that sticks out is they have no avatar so members here are a little weary of some first time posters even though I thought it was obvious you meant no harm I can understand how some users may have got confused.

OK, enough contaminating this thread - no more off-topic! - the Genius Armrest is awesome! I wish I had one but there are other things in line first I need to get. Can't wait to get one and chunk my Canadian plastic one.

Or you could try what I did (albeit with a different armrest)... Put the bolts through the seat frame pointing *rearward*, and thread the nuts onto 'em from behind. Took less than 5 minutes to install the armrest bracket, and if the nuts are exposed, who cares? No one sees 'em. Fold the driver's seat forward about halfway and you can get a 12pt wrench onto the bolt heads easy-peasy.

Just a reminder that I also do the armrest's in custom colors. All I need is a piece of leather, vinyl or whatever that is at least 21" by 8". I have been having my customers supply the material so there is no disappointment about the color matching. You can get small pieces like this at almost any upholstery shop or fabric store for less than $20. Here is a red one I did last week.

Great Armrest

Have you considered/tried upholstering the entire armrest? Maybe I'm too conservative but I'm not too sure about the holes along the base and thought that it coul be covered with the same leather. If this is something you could do and depending upon the price, I would be interested in purchasing one.

Thanks

Michael K, yup! you are too conservative! LOL I on the other hand had to have one BECAUSE of the holes on the underneath... they add a modern touch much in keeping with the entire cars modern feel. and besides they make for an easy handle to grab and swing the armrest to the down position. I've had mine now for four or so months and still love its functionality and looks.

Great Genius Parts experience

Just received the armrest from Genius Parts. What a great design and quality. As per their recent promotion I also received the LED flashlight and it is great. Thanks Matt, you guys are a class act with fantastic products.

I'm pulling this one out of the dust to add my name to the list of happy Genius armrest owners.

Installed ours last night and it looks great!!! It's also big guy compliant. Fantastic construction and seems very durable. We couldn't be happier!!

Thanks Matt!!!
