As a businessman, I know that keeping stock is an expensive and risky undertaking.

I wasn't complaining. Supply vs. Demand is what it's all about.

I had the second version of the DTH and upgraded to the latest version because I thought it would be quieter, which it is. As you can see in my gallery photo, it is the dual, center version. Couldn't be happier...

Genius was the one I have it was a bit loud and with a drone sound on the highway, but i put on the genius cold air intake and it took away the drone and the car runs quiet at a stop and roars at full throttle.

Remus

I had the Remus exhaust that I got from SmartMadness installed by the local Remus distributor (I got the reference from Remus USA).

They did the install for $65. I'm glad I didn't try to do it myself.

I love the exhaust. You can tell that the car is breathing more freely. The biggest difference is at higher RPMs. Sounds great too. Not too loud. No droning.

He was spot on -- it was 6 weeks before he placed the order.

Now we are waiting for Borla! It seems that Borla didn't have any to ship, and that they would be manufacturing a batch of smart exhaust sometime in July.

So, the wait continues.... Grrr....

I wanted to give the local dealer some business, and was OK with waiting for him. But I'm a little grumpy Borla is out of stock. Anecdotal evidence is that Borla perhaps hadn't manufactured any of these exhausts just yet.....

Thought I'd update. Somewhere on scoa.com another member, ciscocali, I think, had a Borla and then removed it due to being too loud. After reading that I cancelled my order for the Borla. Did a lot of research, and, ahem, ordered a Evil Twin dual center exit. Yes, I am once again taking a risk on a system that I've never heard.

For full disclosure, I want a dual exit that comes through the valence that isn't loud. The BPP was over the top loud (not to mention the 1st gen was marginal at best), the Remus comes under the valence and the Borla was slated as too loud by a member of this forum.

The Evil Twin should ariive in the next day or so. I'll update when I get it installed.

Best,

The evil twin sounds great! Did you go through smartsrus.com? They seem to have the best prices, cheaper than anyone here and thats including shipping across the pond and still cheaper than anyone here!

So, who has made their own exhaust? Seems like a custom muffler shop could take a Flowmaster or similar muffler and work up something for a lot less than the commercial versions. Thoughts?

A little FYI.....

We have been working with SOLO on a twin center tip exhaust for those that have asked.

The side exit one is in production and should be available very soon. The twin center exhaust should be available in the next 30 days as well.
