I'm guessing from this post then that these KW's are not like the KW-V2's that I had on my last ride that were both adjustable for firmness and height? BTW, the KW's were among my favorite mods on my SRT8 - great product. Too bad though if they can't be adjusted for both on our smarts .

Yes that's the pn.

A buddy of mine is a master KW distributor. Hence I consulted him for anything KW. PS: the KW Clubsport very nice but not for Smart.

I am surprised that Bilstein didn't confirm the fitting before selling you a set. Seems like they were just trying to get something over to you for the sake of it. I hope you didn't have to fork out any $$$ for shipping back/from. Did they promise to pay for the partial installation fee?
No, my shop has been real good about this. No install fees. They even offered to pay me back for gas and toll for the drive to the shop. They just placed the order for the KW's

Based on my understanding, these are the real deal V2's. You can adjust height and rebound....should be nice. But, as with the Bilsteins, I won't know for sure til they arrive and get put on the car.

KW is also coming out with a K1 in April. height adjustable only. I don't think there are plans for a V3, but that would be nice, as you can adjust height, rebound, and compression.

Hey Vince, can you confirm the drop for me with your buddy? KW america told me rear drops 20-40mm...it goes down to 45mm in EU. TIA

TBone,

Your parts just arrived! I can't wait to see the finished project.

By the way....

We now carry KW coil overs and should have stock in the next several days.

Here is the direct link:

KW's are now in stock!

I could not help myself and opened the box as soon as they came in. Both Rachel and I instantly fell in Love (over the contents of the box!)! LOL!

...and she said "Am I getting those on my smart?"

They do look sharp and I am afraid it will now be our next upgrade.

:-)
