Maybe you (Bum-bling-B) can do a humorous play on the stretcher idea. You can set it up with a little white pillow and a bit of cloth as a blanket with a red cross on top. Then stick a Smurf or something under the blanket. I thought of Smurfs 'cuz their color already makes them look sick, but a green Hulk would work as well. You could even set up an IV drip looking system. It'll be a Smart Emergency Response Vehicle!
And it may distract would-be thieves.
