BPP Powerflow filter - photos & info

UPS dropped it off this morning, installed it a few minutes ago:
Don't have a P/N for this item:

There's the K&N used up until today

Look at the BPP ready to swap with the K&N

Some trash in the airbox below the filter

Three filters compared - stock, BPP and K&N

Look at the relative depth of the K&N and BPP filters - BPP on the right

IMHO, the BPP filter matches the stock filter in dimensions, filter element alignment and in sidewall stiffness. Also appears to have more filter area than the K&N filter.

Off for a test drive now.

PS - Ernie didn't include a BPP decal so guess the K&N decal will have to stay on the car.

Said I didn't have one, although if there's enough demand I may become a vendor and start selling them.

Back from test drive...

All subjective, seat-of-the-pants, etc. but the filter works. Seems to let the car rev more freely and it will really jump off the line from a standing start now. Also seems to have a little more oomph as it goes through the gears. Managed to hold off a couple of guys in a Cavalier although there certainly wasn't any street racing taking place as that is illegal.

Are you kidding? As soon as we get the carbon fiber version tooled up we'll be asking $99.95 for those prop rods!

Carbon fiber? Heck, go with solid 14K gold. Then we'll really be invested in our cars.

I received mine today and it doesn't properly fit the airbox. The BP filter I received is taller than the stock filter, so once seated in the airbox the lid can't be properly aligned and closed--it's simply too tall. I've taken several digital pics and sent them to Ernie for his review. Here's two:
