I'd love to get feedback on the first version of switchboard installation instructions (easier if sent to switchboard@johnhandwork.com).

I second the genius thing!

I installed mine today.
Excellent instructions and a totally complete kit.
John did a great job on this one. It was an easy install and all went well.

What's next John?

Just a bump here John. Are you going to have any more available any time soon?

I have one that's been sitting on the shelf - the one individual that showed interest ended up not following up despite email and Private Messages.

I've been a little hesitant to order up parts for another 10-14 units.

Are you interested in getting the one I have left, ready to ship?

http://somesmart.info/switchboard/Sw...structions.pdf

If there's interest from others at a $60 pricepoint, I can put together another batch. I'd need to revisit the numbers to see if it's worth trying to shave some off that price, but it's certainly not a $30 proposition like I originally targeted. The realized device is a wonderfully professional level for such a low number of units.

It's an expensive proposition for the "convenience" of a switch-bank operated garage door opener, but it leaves the smart wiring intact (pins moved, able to move back if desired) and keeps the garage door opener out of sight yet still able to be manually accessed and taken out of the car with ease.

I rarely use the one available spot in my sister's 3-car garage (storage!) so having the rarely-used opener out of sight is great.

I've been considering a button bank mod for some time, and that time has come. I took the button bank out of my car today, read through the Evilution site and came away scratching my head.

I see the pinout description on Kane's website and I see Cube's photo and the first page with the description "Red wire tapped into #13 wire (Button #3)" but how do I know which wire is #13? Is there a color code somewhere? Or can I take apart the connector to get to the pins?

I actually tried to dissemble the connector, but was afraid I was going to break it. Any clues?

Also, the John_H garage door opener kit looks great. Still available?

Thanks!
