Cabrio Rear Window Dirty

Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast. I've owned a 1982 VW Rabbit Convertible and it did the same thing. Really sucks when it snows and the city puts sand out. The road grunge looks like somebody undercoated the back of your car. Now if someone could just invent a rear wiper/washer that would tuck inside the rear center brakelight assembly on the cabrio model… hmmmm…

i have a yellow/black passion, that would get dirty on the back, from dust & black soot, so i fixed the problem, by adding small mud flaps.
I get very little stuff on the car now.
Go to jpaul in the MEMBER GALLERY & look for ufofortom IN MY CHEAPER MODS to see the mud flaps. They really don't show up much, but really do the job.
I WOULDN'T KID YOU----TRY IT---YOU'LL LOVE IT.

LorbeerTLC is correct -- it's just what happens when one has a truncated rear on a vehicle. My VW Golf had that problem. My girlfriend's Scion XB has that problem. Our Chevy Sprints did, too. As the high-pressure air spills past the back of the car into the very low-pressure zone, it swirls and deposits soot, dirt, road spray, and other contaminents all over the back of the vehicle.

I guess you could always get one of these:
