I've heard from sources I believe to be reputable that KW and Bilstein are both working on them. Those sources indicate that the price of admission will be at least $1.5K, which I think is reasonable.

Nevertheless, I decided that is not worth it to me -- at least not right now.

One reason I feel that way is because with the economy circling the drain, it could be months before companies fell the need to bring innovative components to market. I want something now. So, I'm trying to get my hands on some H&R springs.

PS -- PM me if you want the sources of my KW and Bilstein rumor

SPAX in the UK have already made a one off.
They will do a run of them IF 20buyers come forward with the money.
Approx £700

Show people and Auto-Xers may be interested. Though I have a $1k spending cap for the car and after spending most of it at Breathless Performance, I am not interested. I think the big picture that i have been asking about is "CAMBER KIT" and I don't see anyone stepping up - at least not for now.

Why do you need a camber kit? The rear end is fixed, as it should be. At this point the front is a non issue, none of the available spring kits lower enough to cause any real impact.

I have over 20k on my fortwo, half of that was with the lowering springs installed (off of a 450, so its even lower than the kits for the 451). My tires are wearing evenly on all corners and the stock tires have well over 1/2 usable tread life left.

I could see a use for dialing in a little more front camber if u were at the track but they they car would become 'darty' and unpleasant to drive on the road.

I read on another thread that you have this coilover setup. Can you share pics of the coilover system and of your car?

I googled the Spax setup, and it seems it's only adjustble in the front. The rear is a fixed 25mm drop. Is this how your setup is?

The other two coilover systems in Europe are Bilstein and KW variant 2. The KW can lower the SMART the most of the 3 systems.
