Indeed. And fortunately for those of us interested in the development of that unit, aftermarket "speed control" is mentioned by name in the warranty guide - as something that won't negatively affect the factory warranty.

I wouldn't trade cars over speed control. I am a nut for cruise, but it is an easy add on. I have added it to at least 6 cars and only had problems with one back in the mid eighties. The newer ones look just like they are a factory option. Around $300 for most cars.

Not to split hairs, but the ban is only in the district proper, and NOT on the beltway unfortunately. Remember, there are a lot of areas of Virginia and Maryland that are inside the beltway, but not in DC.
