Boris - which company does the ECU tune? What are the gains? Does it address the lag between shifts?

We are in the process of getting our own equipment to do the flash. Our partner which flashed our car and some of our customers cars has now developed a way for us to have the equipment in house, be able to plug in to the car while it is in our shop and download the software from their place directly to us and in to the car.

We noticed an immeadiate gain in power and it also addressed the lag in shifts. It's been on our car for about 5 months with no issues.

We were going to offer the Area 451 Cruise Control and decided against it and went with the MDC unit from Germany. It has been on the market for a longer period of time, has been installed in thousands of cars in Europe over the last two years and is much easier to install. In addition, it uses Genuine smart parts from a different model so it looks right in the car and plugs right in.

There are several other advantages we felt gave it the edge over the other and that is why we offer it to our customers.

Both units are good units and I am sure the Area 451 is a very good unit. A number of people on this board have it, the vendor that supplies it has a good reputation, so either way you go you will probably be satisfied and happy.

We will offer installation at our shop. Curently we are sold out of the units. Our new shipment left Germany on the 19th, so we expect it anyday now. Once they are here we will fill all existing orders and then if there are any left we will actually (finally) put one in our car so we become famililar with the installation and use of the item.
